**Position:** Accountant – STPI Software Specialist
**Location:** Nungambakkam, Chennai
**Job Description:**
We are looking for a meticulous Accountant with expertise in STPI (Software Technology Parks of India) software to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with STPI regulations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Utilize STPI software to manage financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and submit reports such as MPR (Monthly Progress Report) and SCZ (Software Cost Zonal) as per STPI guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with EDPMS (Electronic Data Processing Management System) for efficient data management.
- Reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and provide necessary support.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to STPI regulations and guidelines.
- Provide assistance during audits and financial reviews.
- Stay updated on changes in STPI regulations and recommend adjustments to accounting processes as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with specific experience using STPI software.
- Strong proficiency in STPI software, including MPR, SCZ, and EDPMS.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to STPI operations.
